How Edges makes money
Edges earns affiliate commission from South African licensed bookmakers. When you click a "Visit site" button on this site and go on to open an account, the operator may pay us either a flat fee for the referral or a share of the revenue they earn from that account.
What that costs you
Nothing. The odds you get, the bonus you are offered and the account you receive are identical whether you arrive through a link on Edges or type the operator's address into your browser yourself. Affiliate commission comes out of the operator's marketing budget, not out of your stake or your winnings.
Commission does not buy placement
Every operator listed on Edges is a commercial partner, and we say so plainly rather than pretending otherwise. What we do not do is sell position, sell a verdict, or accept payment, gifts or any other consideration in exchange for a recommendation. Ordering and commentary are editorial decisions made against the criteria published on our homepage.
Rates differ between operators. Where a higher paying operator ranks below a lower paying one, that is the method working as intended. If we ever revise a verdict, the reason goes on the page.
How our links are marked
- Every outbound operator link carries
rel="sponsored nofollow"so search engines can see it is a paid link. - Affiliate links open in a new tab.
- A disclosure notice appears on the homepage above the operator table, not buried in the footer.
Operators we do not partner with
Edges writes about the South African market generally, including operators we have no relationship with. Where an operator is mentioned but is not a partner, there is no outbound link and we earn nothing from the mention.
Advertising standards
We follow the same rules we ask of our partners. No claims of guaranteed winnings, no suggestion that betting is a solution to financial difficulty, no marketing aimed at anyone under 18, and a visible responsible gambling message on every page.
